To me, that's a sign of an excellent story. Regrettably Siegel forgot those attributes from his earlier works and this time spins an incredibly unlikely story that is just plain silly, and stumbles on some major incongruities that pretty much blow the whole premise of the plot. Will look for an original copy. This is more than just a murder mystery the characters are great in and of themselves and the ending is more than a "voila the murderer is revealed" type of ending (it's deeper). et d'autres choses encore . I heartily recommend it.
