Almost as captivating as Jon Krakauer's "Under the Banner of Heaven," this book offers insights into Mormon culture, religion and thinking at the same time as telling a story of human foibles and catastrophe. I love it because it helps with asking the correct questions and the rationel as well as the rule outs. I can't wait to get to DL and actually see some of the places described in the book up close for the first time. Or, the editors could have included a piece by the father and long-time leader of the Intelligent Design movement, Phillip Johnson, whose effect on contemporary apologetics is incalculable. I really wanted to know what happened to Gerald Clark, the soldier who wandered out of the Amazon after being missing for four years. I would recommend it for beginners. On the upside, there were some attributes that made this story better. Only the highest praises, I strongly recommend his book for any students history class. Another excellent Moe Prager mystery. Similarly, far too much background information on the characters involved (and in some cases BARELY involved) in the case. Some really neat stuff. They are the Earth Fairies.
